Waretown Elementary School Media Center

The Waretown Elementary School Media Center consists of over 8,000 written volumes and numerous videos and a wide variety of children's magazines.

We are also equipped with Alexandria Web-based Library Catalog System, which is housed in six student stations and one main station. 

Kindergarten through third grade has thirty minute library instruction with a ten minute book selection time once a week.  Students are allowed to check out one book a week with the option of returning and rechecking a book out anytime during the school week.

We are excited to have an interactive white board in our media center.  Teachers and students alike will be able to use this board for lessons, viewing DVD's, using the internet, and also using an online encyclopedia.  Our goal is to have an updated media center which can meets all the needs of our students and staff.

We will also try to keep the Research websites section current.  Some websites will always be current and worth "checking out"!
