Waretown Elementary School Media Center

The Waretown Elementary School Media
Center consists of over 8,000 written volumes and numerous videos and a
wide variety of children's magazines.
We are also equipped with the Spectrum Computerized Catalog System,
which is housed in two student stations and one main stations. We also
have two Macs equipped with the Accelerated Reading Program available to
Kindergarten through 3rd grades. The students read a ARP book and take a
quiz on the computer. The students receive points for each correct
answer. Twice a year the gift cart comes out for total points received
during that school year.
Kindergarten classes have a twenty minute session once a week, library
lesson and book selection, one book a week. All other classes take two
books a week plus a twenty minute library lesson.
The children also have frequent visits from the Waretown Public
Librarian. If you have any questions about the library program please
feel free to contact me.
Our PAC and PMPS classes have a twenty minute story time each week, with
a related activity.
This is a wonderful site for you to enjoy with
your children. Click on to either side of the Cat In The Hat, either
High Bandwidth Site or Low Bandwidth Site and welcome to Seussville
