Intergenerational Club

This club is for our 3rd graders. They meet after school and create small crafts for the residents of the Spring Oak Assisted Living in Lanoka Harbor.  During each visit the students serve light refreshments, while the residents share stories about families, school traditions, hobbies and trips.  This club is part of the Municipal Alliance’s goal to bring the community together and to foster mentoring between seniors and young people.

Young Einstein Club

This club meets on Monday and Wednesdays until Spring Break.  It is designed to prepare our students for the NJASK3.  Language Arts Literacy and Math skills are taught in a fun and exciting learning environment.  Students are also working on building self-confidence so that their testing experience is more successful.  A trip to Princeton University is planned for late spring.

Fun and Fitness Club

Second and third graders may participate in this club.  Mrs. Groh has several activities planned to help the students achieve a healthier lifestyle.   This club meets once a week.

Youth in Philanthropy/Citizenship Club

This club is open to third graders who would like to make a difference in our community and the lives of others.  Meetings are held monthly and students make crafts to sell.  Funds raised have been donated to Make-A-Wish, Save the Children, and St. Jude’s Research Hospital.  Some other activities that the YIP/Citizenship clubs does is spruce up and decorate the faculty lounge, sing at Spring Oak Assisted Living, and collect stamps for the Seeing Eye Foundation.
