Mrs. McDowell is beginning her three-year term as a board member and currently serves as the board vice-president. She and her husband, Ned, have lived in Ocean Township for over six years and has been a resident of Ocean County her adult life where she has raised her two children.
Mrs. McDowell is a retired educator with classroom experience as an early childhood, elementary, and social studies teacher with Toms River Regional School District. She holds a BS from The College of New Jersey and MA in Education and Supervision from Georgian Court University. She is currently an associate professor with the School of the Arts and Humanities at Ocean County College.
Mrs. McDowell believes in giving back to community by taking an active role within the community. She takes pride in having a lasting impact on the education of children in our schools, to work respectively in a partnership with our highly qualified faculty and staff to ensure our children reach their full potential, as well as a fiscal responsibility to our community's tax dollars to maintain a maximum education to the children of the district.
